Then the Western Student Research Conference is the perfect opportunity for you!
We are a multidisciplinary conference, which means we accept research projects from all faculties and areas of study.
We accept a wide range of research projects, including internship projects, thesis projects, self-directed study projects, and even volunteer research!
Applications open in mid-February, so keep an eye out!

Presentation Styles
One of the key highlights of our conference is the ability to present in two different styles; Oral Presentations and Poster Presentations. At the time of applying, you have the opportunity to apply for either/both presentation styles, based on what you’re most comfortable with!
Oral Presentations
Love public speaking? Or are you looking to develop your confidence, by presenting in front of a large crowd? Then maybe Oral Presentations are for you! Present your research alongside a slide deck to our group of interested attendees and judges!
Poster Presentations
Prefer to present using your poster? That’s perfectly fine! Poster presentations are another excellent method of presenting your research, where you can interact directly with our judges and attendees, and present straight from your research poster.
